An amazing storm over Wanstead last night, rain, tremendous thunder claps and lightning. I of course slept peacefully through it until Mrs W woke me up. I was tempted to go into the garden with my camera and tripod to try and capture a photograph of the lightning, then I thought lightning, metal tripod, probably not one of my better ideas. I managed a quick shot of this rose this morning, I love the way the petals catch the rain and form these pools of water.
